Barack Obama used his power as president to announce policy changes through an Executive Action. The new measures ease aspects of US immigration policy, enabling 4.3 million undocumented immigrants (of a total of 11.8 million) with more than five years in the country or with US-born children to apply for work permits, temporarily legalize their status or delay deportation proceedings. Our program takes a closer look at the issue. Cody Weddle interviews Prerna Lal, attorney and founder of Dream Activist, an on-line advocacy network led by undocumented immigrant youth, who views Obama's announcement as a victory of the grass roots immigrant rights movement. teleSUR
