The founder and leader of Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), Mr. Altaf Hussain endorsed the suggestion of Coordination Committee to make think tank as a national advisory council, consisting of retired army personnel.
In a statement issued from London Secretariat, while talking to a joint-session of MQM Pakistan and London Coordination Committees, Mr. Hussain discussed the war against terrorism and current political situation of the country. He vividly appreciated army soldiers and officers, who sacrificed their lives during the war against terrorists.
He said that the national advisory council on terrorism would suggest army authorities to carry out successful operations against extremists and terrorists. He prayed for the success of the ongoing army-operation against terrorists.
Mr. Hussain once again reiterated his offer to send MQM volunteers in war against terrorism. He expressed great concerns over the miserable situations of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and thoroughly appreciated Pak-army’s assistance to them.
He also appealed to the philanthropists and donors to help out IDPs from their miserable situations. He said people should donate blankets, clothes and other relief goods. He said, they could hand over goods to Khidmat-e-Khalq Foundation (KKF) and it would distribute their donated goods to the deserving people.
