Billy Joel was honored in Washington, D.C. with the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The prize is awarded to performers and composers for their lifetime contributions to popular music. The event was a star-studded one, which included appearances from Tony Bennett - who sang the Joel classic "New York State of Mind" - and Kevin Spacey, who showed off his harmonica skills with a rendition of "Piano Man."
Of course the night wouldn't be complete without something from Joel, himself. The singer took to his piano to perform a slew of his biggest hits.
