Cuba and Norway, guarantor countries of the peace talks between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia—People's Army (FARC-EP), announced that the two sides have reached an agreement on the necessary conditions for freeing General Ruben Dario Alzate and four other persons. Alzate was taken prisoner by the FARC on November 16, which led the Colombian government to suspend the peace talks. teleSUR
