Venezuela: 28 new laws could shake up the economy

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro signed, via presidential decree, 28 far-reaching new laws. Taken together they will profoundly change the way the country operates. They are designed to tighten the economic system, ensure a more equitable income distribution, guarantee fair prices, strengthen anti-monopoly regulations, reform the tax system, stimulate national production, and in general, facilitate the emergence of an alternative economic system.
