While he remains in jail today for his role in the crimes, Manson has still managed to find a fiancée. 26-year-old Afton Burton, also called Star, and 80-year-old Manson recently acquired a marriage license.

No date for the ceremony has yet been scheduled, however the couple only has 90 days before they will need to reapply. Burton, however, told reporters that they plan on tying the knot sometime next month.

An official with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation has said that the ceremony will have to take place on a visiting day and that only 10 outside guests, two inmates and one officiant will be permitted to attend.

Due to strict limitations on physical contact, the couple will only be allowed to hug each other twice during visits, even after they’re married. The two have a history that stretches back quite some time.

Years ago, Burton moved to Corcoran, California, which is where Manson’s prison is located, to be closer to him. She manages a number of websites and aims to prove his innocence.
