More help has arrived in Ebola-hit Liberia.
About 160 Chinese health workers are now on the ground to build and run a new Ebola clinic.
China has been under fire for not contributing more to fight the virus, but it said this week it would send 1,000 personnel.
Chinese Ambassador Zhang Yue says this first batch of medical teams consists of doctors, nurses and logistics coordinators.
(SOUNDBITE) (English) CHINESE AMBASSADOR ZHANG YUE SAYING:
"And this is the immediate response of the Chinese Government to help Liberian people to fight against Ebola. And further more we are programming a medium and a long term assistance including more training courses. We will arrange around 12 training courses to the African countries in the prevention and control of an epidemic."
Upon arrival, the health workers had their temperatures taken and were made to wash their hands - a ritual adopted across the region to stem the virus.
