Mexican intellectuals call for formation of a 'truth commission'

2014-11-12 3

Protests and social unrest continue to gain strength as Mexican officials have proven themselves incapable of providing accurate information or controlling the criminal gangs which have taken over the country. Not only 43 students have gone missing in Mexico. Since 2006, 22,000 others have gone missing and there are no answers in those cases either. Academics and intellectuals are calling for the formation of a truth commission to investigate the case of the Ayotzinapa 43, since the government doesn't seem to be up to doing the job. teleSUR
