Evangelical preacher Myles Munroe and his wife, Ruth, were killed in a plane crash that occurred in the Bahamas on the evening of November 9th.

The two of them were aboard a Lear 36 Executive Jet that experienced problems as it began to land at the Grand Bahama International Airport in Freeport.

Another of the crash’s victims was Dr. Richard H. Pinder, pastor and Senior Vice President of the Bahamas Faith Ministries Fellowship Church.

All three of them were headed to a leadership forum in Freeport that had been organized by Munroe.

The crash also claimed the lives of the other passengers and the pilots on the aircraft, but their identities have not been released.

It’s been reported that while flying near a shipyard the plane struck a crane and soon after went down in a nearby ‘junk site’.

There were no other aircrafts believed to be in the area at the time.

An investigation is ongoing and is being handled by the Royal Bahamian Police Force.

Munroe’s ministry has announced that they will go forward with the scheduled event, as they believe it’s what the preacher would have wanted.
