Danny Draper - A Song For Magpies

2014-11-10 1

Black and white
From light and shade
Swoops parental vengeance,
Just in case.

Song like a crimson sunset
Betrays this parents' blind
Skin and hair go missing,
Direct hit from behind.

Vexatious for such a short time
So noble the intent
Understandable and forgivable,
But at all with some regret.

Perhaps the song so sensuous
Could any predator dissuade?
Rather than this aerial mauling,
That only serves to hasten my balding.
