I'm trying to find the right words to say
But doing that would take all day
So I'll try to write a poem for you
In hope that you'll eventually become my boo
You're a good girl and a wonderful friend to me
And I know there's so much more that we can be
That's the reason you're taking over my hopes, my thoughts, and my dreams
Yet you don't know how much to me you mean
If you let me I'll show you how a girl is supposed to feel
And I'll show you that true love can be real
There's an opportunity here and I'm not going to stand by
While you go off and get your heart broke by some no good guy
You deserve all the respect a person could give
And I'll always care for you as long as I live
I'm one the guys who is in it for the long run
Who'll be there for the good and the bad, the boring and the fun
It's getting harder and harder to ask you out
It's getting harder to say it's you I can't be without
How do I tell you that you make my fears melt away
When I hear your voice in school everyday
There's nothing bad to say about you thus far
And I'll always like you just the way you are
When I first looked into your eyes all that I could see
Was a girl who I knew would be perfect for me
There are so many other things I have to say
But I'll end the poem in this way
Cyani love is a disease and you're the cure
A girl who is so sweet and whose heart is pure
