Charles Darkly - The Unceremonious and Tragic Immolation of Amelia Rose Darkly

2014-11-10 0

…It’s time to tell it to you straight
which is difficult with someone as crooked as you
But please bear with me instead of bearing down on
on me as you often do when you don’t get
your way
what do you care now that you've got someone else
to bare with you?
You were my muse but I'm no longer amused
so this one is going to be ugly and unorganized
and not the least bit pretty - here we go.
I used to love you but now I think you're
a used up out of fashion yellow jacket
who never built a home
because they were too busy mudslinging
See, you betray me to herd mentalities
when they’ve overheard sentimentality
So I feel like I’ve got to call you out
Because I doubt you’ve told anyone
you were still secretly calling me
You ask me where all the time went
But that’s only when you’re bothered to give me
The time of day…And…
… I know my infatuated delusions were a prime target for
you to steal affections with shadowbox thievery
see, I think enough time has trespassed against us
but you still love to bleed me into temptation
I overpaid for everything but you still want
me to give you credit you don’t deserve so
It’s time even the jabberwocky jack of hearts and
jacked up hearts of broken lovers
see what you are
so here I am all jittery and manic depressive
rambling
but oh so much preferred to panicked obsessive
gambling (ALL IN ALL IN ALL IN)
pouring gasoline on your fiery manipulations
and I don’t care if you’re put out
because the most inventive way I know to scatter your ashes is to
burn you alive first.
