If I knew how to write a song
I would write one everyday
It would say that I love you
And why I feel this way
It would say that you are handsome
And as rare as a dessert rose
It would say that you are a looker
From your head down to your toes
You are funny dainty kind and as gorgeous as can be
You are charming lovely and you mean everything to me
You are my comfort when I am lonely
My peace when I need rest
Of all the people I have known
I must rate you the best
You are the orchard in the jungle
You are the better half of me
You are all of this and so much more
And you mean the world to me
Still so much left unsaid
It would take me far too long
I know how much I love you
If only I could write you a song
