That touches the faintest heart
That makes misery
Smile again

That the weakest hold on to
That the broken gain
Until they get through
I believe in fear
That crawls in the night
That haunts every home
And makes children shout
I believe in regret
That sweeps through our hearts
That only lets go
If it is forgiven
I believe in silence
That holds too many words
That is filled with thoughts
That won’t be let go
I believe in happiness
I believe in trust
I believe in joy
Pain, anger, loneliness

That is what I want
That is what this life
