Remember...
You take nothing from me,
With wishes to deplete.
I arrived here as the giver.
And what you decide,
To admit or deny...
Will not change,
The natural act...
Of what you discovered,
Me to do.
I was approached...
Working in the fields of my endeavors.
It,
The giving...
From me as you see,
Has been in many years of production.
And the nibbles you've been given to taste,
Can still be done.
Long after I have gone.
The seeds from my deeds...
Will grow to be harvested.
For as long as some choose to feed.
Not only am I a sharecropper.
I am a farmer with a business plan too!
I am not here to labor,
With my eyes just on you.
Look over your shoulder!
Those are also the fruits of my labor.
You must have thought I was dancing,
Just to get your attention.
And singing so you could hear my voice.
Why do you smile?
As if you knew.
