It is summer once again, my friend
The time for weddings is here
Everyone you love is standing by
There is nothing for you to fear
The man or woman that you love
Will be positioned by your side
It’s the happiest day in your life
On cloud 9 you will simply glide
Oh oh, is that really and truly true?
Is there something we forgot?
For after all it’s about the future
It is the happiness we’ve always sought
Everything in the past comes forth
Yes, that is what I have heard
Pain and nastiness from the past
Has been beckoned forth and lured
These people you grew up with
From mom, dad and each sibling
Aunts and uncles and grandparents
And aunt Ellie who insists that she sing
“Oh Lord, keep my from my death, ”
I say prayers that fateful day
Sanity is so very important
So really, you need to pray
But it is okay, it really it is
As you start your marital bliss
The day of your future starts
With that precious little kiss!
