If the ocean were warm - never cold
We would take a boat as in tales of old
With wooden oar to the heart of the sea
So we could get lost – just you and me.
The oar will be thrown overboard
You’ll hold one end and I the other
We’ll dropp and watch it sink like a load
Then freely float to an unknown border
A day might pass, a month‘ll be too soon
I will have only you, sea, suns and moon
I’ll hold you close both night and day-
As tide and breeze blow us into bay
A welcome song played by mountain brass
-wind whispering on the virgin hills
Colored by wild flowers and dew-sated grass –
Will be enough to command thrills
In us: two lovers attending love’s hand.
As we were born we’ll walk to the land
Childishly playing with the water’s cool;
We’ll begin our unending Yule
Of living freely– the coconut’s jelly
Would be enough to lick hunger's problem,
The stream enough to wash our body;
All I need is you - my bonny blossom.
When night comes we’ll cuddle by the fire
Blanketed by each others skin
We’ll make love till sleep forces us to retire
Then wake in the morning and live again.
