As i look at him from across the room
My heart begin's to melt,
I remember all those loving year's
And the feeling's that we felt.
I remember the day's when he was mine
with a love no one could part,
But now i know i've lost him
There's a pain deep in my heart.
He will never love me the same again,
She has won and i have lost.
No one should have to pay this price
Not at any cost.
How will i live without him?
How will i carry on?
How lonlely will my life be?
Now that he has gone.
Will she care for him like i did?
Will her love be as strong as mine?
Will she cherish him as i do
From now till the end of time.
But i suppose i must except it now
No matter how hard the blow.
I really must release him,
I need to let him go.
So when we reach the church tomorrow
I'll try and be a good mum,
I'll forgive the lovely lady
Who is marrying my son.
