The engine's roard, the tower was gone.
With an almighty blast, like a thundering bomb.
A plane had thrust into the tower,
Which brought it down like a rock filled shower.
Then minutes later, the same again,
Another blast, another plane.
Two towers hit, brought down to the ground,
A horrible sight, a terrible sound.
People screaming in despair
Not knowing if anyone knew they were there.
Trapped and wounded, suffering pain,
Not knowing if they'd see their loved ones again.
Those poor soul's were oblivious, on that dreadful day.
They never saw the horror and hurt
That would decend on them that day.
There was no warning in advance,
There was nowhere to run, they had no chance.
People bewilded not knowing why
Two plane's would fly out of the sky,
Causing so much devastation
Who could do this to a nation.
They must be mad, they are in sane,
How could they cause so much sorrow and pain.
God bless each and every one who suffered on that day,
And hope those who survived can gradually find their way.
A way to come to terms with life, a way to get them through
A way to get them through their plight
And build their lives a new.
For those poor soul's who did not survive,
God bless, and rest in peace,
And to those of us who suffered not
Let us pray for war to cease.
