Once upon a time,
A time when the sun would shine.
There were two souls,
two souls with the same goal
the goal to love and be loved.
Two souls destined to be,
destined to be something to see.
clueless when they met
that their destiny was set.
Like right from a book
She stole his heart with a look
It was then that he knew
He knew that it was true
True that soul mates exist
From that day on
their love only grew
sadly though neither knew
neither knew that the other felt it too
feelings went unexpressed and unsaid
unsaid to those whose hearts bled.
Years passed and friendship sprouted
Best friends, and no one doubted.
A friendship to last the years
Each other there to wipe away the tears.
He went here, she went there
Because life isn't always fair.
He missed his chance, lost the stage
She met someone else, she got engaged
Still he was there
He was there because he cared
Nothing changed, he felt the same
the same as the day she came.
He was here through the bad
There through the sad.
There for the good,
there for the glad.
Sadly time would break this bond
The bond that was so strong
All great things must end
but his heart refuses to bend
Longing to be together
In it you'll be forever
No matter the distance or time
Forever and always you'll be mine
Hopefully i'm not wrong
So long but not goodbye
for we can never end
my long lost friend.
