Dawn, thats my name,
and i love watching the candle flame
mom and dad think I'm weird
just because i love the bloodbird.
They say i can't be me
because I'm not so free
To them black is bad
and that gets me mad.
How can they tell me who I am?
just becuase I'm different then them
I'm not bad and I'm not sad
but they make it hard to just be glad.

and people think I'm weird becuase of blood birds
and I don't dress the way they preferred.
