I watch these tears
Role down my face
I wipe them away
They're so out of place
I shouldn't cry

You meant so much

But over time
Sorrow has replaced the thrill
I cringe at the memories
I hold so near
Was this really worth it
Can you tell me my dear
Was this everything
You thought it would be
Does it hurt you

In a place of pain
Or dancing under streetlights
In the pouring rain
So spare me the time
The hideous lies
