PHIL WINTER - Neglected.

2014-11-10 701

They come to the world with nothing
Parents forsake them
They are left to wander
And death for them is the answer!
What purpose is life if they gain no acceptance
And the place of their birth has nothing to offer?
Life seems to mock these children when they are born.
Even the trees and the flowers must be daily tended
Before they can bloom and bear fruit
So must all newborn children be loved
Or their life from stage to stage
Would be scarred with grief and pain.
Then they join the class of people
Dispossessed of any talent
Nature would have bestowed,
Had the soil been prepared for them!
Then they become the neglected generation,
Pushed away and made unwanted
Living like devils! Destroying themselves!
And returning to the earth, neglected!
