Resty Rivera( PHILIPPINES) - Never Dancing Alone

2014-11-10 5

Your hand it passes though my hair
as only past lovers would dare!
You kiss my cheek it's not as warm
as it once has been.

Stroke my arm with southern charm
come and go as you please.
You rustle past fallen leaves
send a chill when you sneeze

Unforgiving whorl to my lips
chip and crack the edge,
a fan of badinage never paying fair!
A world traveler returning from a far
roving everywhere.

A free spirit you must be
never having any worries
Playing in the lonely trees
sailing on the open seas.

Never staying very long,
but always coming back to tease.
Everyone that you have entice
has felt your selfish animosity.

So don on your seasons dress
and try to act your very best,
dance in the open fields
waltz with the clouds in azure skies
Play with children and their kites.

Wear your smile that no one sees
laughing in the whistling breeze.
Pinwheels whirl, balloons lift skyward
with that touch of your index- finger!
