As I lay dying, yes dying
Tired, unsure of which shore
Not to walk anymore.
As I lay dying, yes dying
I saw ancient trees, blue skies
All the many times I hadn't been wise.
As I lay dying, yes dying
My old father's face swam before my eyes;
He said, 'My child, you can't die before me:
Now try to rise.'
