Just because you said you loved me
And said you would always be there
Doesn’t mean anything
It doesn’t mean you care
Words are there for people to bend and twist
To cover there mistakes
A promise is only words to me
Until the promise breaks
Sometimes Words can be cruel
They can hurt you pretty bad
Sometimes you say things in anger
Things that make people sad
I wish there was another way
To tell people how I feel
I wish that they could know
That MY promises are real
Just because they say
That their words are true
Doesn’t mean that they are
Being very honest with you
So, that’s what I think about
People and their lies
Telling the truth isn’t hard to do
You should just try
