Obed dela Cruz - You Are My Desire

2014-11-10 37

(This poem is for God. I’m talking to Him in this poem.)

Gold and diamonds can’t bless my eyes forever
Because it’s the treasure of You is what I need.
I long that You will be near and always nearer.
The desire of cherishing You is what I’ll feed.

Fame and glory can’t quench the thirst I have.
If they are only my goal, I’ll live a sad man.
It’s You who can quench because it’s You who I love.
You satisfy and make me give the best I can.

The pride of life can’t outmatch Your great worth to me.
You’re always my choice because You are my desire.
For without You, everything is just vanity.
Without Your touch, I’ll only feel a bad strange fire.

I’ll always say, “You’re my desire and I love You”.
You’re always the best before my eyes and heart.
There’ll be nothing that is greater than Your value.
You are immortal, beautiful, and the best art.

You are the only One that can complete my soul.
Let my words be pleasing, please come and make me whole.
