'You were lucky.'
People that get into accidents
and lose legs, arms, eyes and break
every bone in their body, often hear,
'You were lucky you weren't killed.'
To that I reply, 'Bullshit! If I were
lucky, I wouldn't be sittin' here,
with a tube up my ass and blowin'
into a straw, to make this
wheelchair move!
