Anonimos Anonymous - False Fox

2014-11-10 2

The false fox came to our house one night
And gave all the geese a terrible fright.

He came on tiptoe through the gate.
The geese were in a dreadful state.

He took a fat goose fast by the neck.
The poor goose cried out ‘Queck! Queck! Queck! ’

My mother ran out all alone
And at the fox she threw a stone.

My father ran out with a pail
And hit the fox-clank! On his tail.

But false fox had his goosey-gander.
And away he ran with his precious plunder.

He carried the goose off to his lair,
And all his family had a share.

Then, lo and behold, he came back next week-
Who’d have thought he’d have the cheek!

He came sneaking as quiet as a mouse
And stole two chickens from behind the house

When he got home, he said to his wife
‘A fox’s life is merry life! ’.
