Have you ever unconsciously ran your eyes
Across an ebony nighttime sky
Great with torturous immensity
Seemingly bare where nothing can be
Empty planes lay facing endless time
Heights shorten to reach the horizon line
‘Nothing’ exists metaphysically
Say you cannot believe what you cannot see
Imagine traveling a tunnel upside-down
100 miles an hour not touching the ground
Walls breathing your thoughts as you realize
Perspective has changed and you can’t trust your eyes
Head heavy and hot as your mind spins around
Begin feeling your being with what surrounds
Perceive with your heart, forced to try
To believe in something where nothing’s contrived
Place your perception down on the planes
Life exists, your nothing has changed
Movement surprises your discontent
Perceive, not to see, this is what He meant
Feel a heartbeat, feel your own it’s the same
Hope alive with or without a name
Child on the planes was full intent
Planes womb of a women to where life He sent.
