As you lean down to kiss me, you cant see what your missing.
Its hard to know of your every move.
Swimming through an endless sky,
I watch as you pass by.
Someday, i'll climb a ladder to join you with your happy tune.
I'll look down with omnicient eyes, see people hurrying by.
And i'll wonder if i haste that way too.
And children crying in the night,
I'll send down dreams to quit their plight.
As they settle in, turning out their light.
And hungry people in the streets,
Will they have enough to eat?
Or will it be another scrapping feast?
To the men in bloody hillsides,
Do they have time to look high?
Can they see you fill your cup,
taking in the very least?
Tomorrow comes another day.
Darkness won't you keep at bay?
Starlight watch over us,
and keep the demons far away.
