The square
on the hypotenuse
went to the high school
Disco.
Math & the Mathematics
were playing their new number.
Oh sure, sure
other squares were there
but they hung on to the walls
like wallflowers.
The circles
were already drunk
and one lonely rectangle
stood stoned & dancing alone.
Nothing now but a tangle
of lines and sharp edges.
A gaggle of isosceles
triangles giggled in a group.
An acute angle
was doing a line
of coke with
and obese obtuse obscene angle.
'What the hell does she see in him? '
muttered a Ninety degree angle.
Suddenly across an 'Oh mi Gawd! '
crowded room
he 'Holy Moley! ' saw her.
'Man just look at the sum of her
squares on her other two sides! '
'Holy Guacamole...she was made for me! '
She was fit and by God did
she know it..
'Is that a Pythagoras in your pocket
or are you just Q.E.D.'d to see me! '
'Holy Euclid!
he swore.
They both
couldn't wait no more.
They jumped into
a geometry book
and made tracks
to his bachelor pad.
Math & the Mathematics
were doing a Sparks cover.
'It's No.1
all over Heaven! '

all over Heaven! '
