In the wake of her dead brother,
born to replace a son,
“a damned second daughter! ”
Born on a spring day
The day an uncle passes away
She’s welcomed with tears
instead of cheers…
Her mother receives commiseration
instead of congratulations...
That was her memorable birthday
A black day …
A ‘crazy’ day in spring
when all climates
show off their sting
Sorrow etches
her life’s dawn
Confusion hoops her first chapter
Envy spots her youth -stage
Violence adorns her turbulent wifely phase
Now her denouement looms
on the horizon...
Her dusk draws near
after stumbled years
hidden in tolerance,
kindness and mysterious
silence…
