aira olayvar - “Dream Killers”

2014-11-10 3

They are there to laugh with us…
At the moment we celebrate for them.
Talking about their success when we fall short of it,
Feeling high, looking us down.

Wearing the mask of friendship,
They seemed to care, with open arms, embracing to disgrace.
Gossiping, back-stabbing…
Giving the land its ear to hear them judge us err…
Giving the air its eyes to look us in dismay…

They are comforting, trust disguising…
Bringing us to ruin, catching, ensnaring us unaware…
Sharing them your life, you end up losing yours,
Help them up; see them drag you down…
Sharing them your dream, you end up discouraged…
For those were the dream killers, they are never happy without slaying somebody.
