David Harris - Blindfold Lifted

2014-11-10 2

Once the blindfold is lifted,
we see things as they really are.
There are no crimson castles
guarded by George’s dragons
or other creatures of our myths.
Just ordinary people doing ordinary things.
There are no doorways that when you open them
you dropp into imaginary pits of insanity.
There is however minds filled with sickness
and demented thoughts
that fire them to do monstrous things.
When the blindfold is lifted,
we see things for what they are worth
and that can be scarier
than what is dreamt up within an author’s mind.
