My heart cries to you
Knowing the pain that I caused,
Hoping I can help you understand
That I too had a heart I lost.
I can imagine your anger
That is conforming into insecurity,
Doubting yourself each day
To rely on self pity.
Each day I wonder why,
It happened such a way as this,
To crush such a precious being
Who had such faithfulness.
Nothing you could ever do,
Will make you deserve the pain
That I caused inside you;
For I hope in your heart I will remain
There is nothing I could say
To change what has began,
But I will say this one thing…
If you ever lose your way, just take me by the hand
If you need a shoulder to cry on
Or need strength for the day,
