They are tall and reach for the sky
Their branches stretch like arms
Home to our feathery creatures
Sheltering animals from harm
They grace our yards with charisma
As their leaves rustle in the breeze
Then they turn brilliant colors
Before they experience a freeze
In spring tiny buds start to sprout
As the weather changes again
Once more they are rich and full
Their designs a delightful blend
Ah yes, it’s the way of nature
Always so special to me
We are so very lucky to have
The wonderful majestic tree!
