Dear smile, I missed your glamorous beam
Where have you gone my faded dream?
You must be hidden amid my grief mountains,
or slid on my volcano lava as a fountain?
You must have sunk deep in my tears’ ocean,
or ridden my fears’ boat to keep it in motion?
You must sleep in my cozy childhood lap,
found no place in my bumpy womanhood trap?
My memory can still recall your cute crescent shape,
tell me who disfigured your beautiful landscape?
Does adulthood made it hard for you to reemerge,
or do hypocrites misuse you to create a fake urge?
Will you ever pay me such a precious visit?
Need you so bad to buy my pleasure ticket!
Your futile stories and your future worries exhausted me!
Your money hunt and all your body aches have decomposed me!
Your daily stress and painful life distress have now displaced me!
How could I keep my crescent shape through the era that pains thee?
