Guru’s father, a great musician,
Inaugurated this grand function.
As they had to go to court,
It was one hour concert,
But Thyagaraja wasn’t aware
That it was limited to an hour.
In Raga Kambodhi a song
He elaborately did sing
They forgot the time limit
It went on till late night.
They went very late
Next day to the court.
The King heard the reason
And gave them pardon.
