George Hunter - My Motorcycle Was Too Slow

2014-11-10 2

I was toolin’ down the pike
...Just as nice as you please
Doin’ 90 miles per hour
...Just enjoyin’ the breeze.

When all at once
...I saw a red light flashin’
They had their radars out
...Some speeders to be bashin’.

I should have pulled over
...But instead I gave more throttle
‘Cause all day long
...I’d been sippin’ on the bottle.

I was doin’ OK until
...I got low on gas
So I hid behind a tree
...Hoping they’d go past.

But they saw me there
...I had been found
Three of them grabbed me
...And threw me to the ground.

They cuffed me up and said,
...“You should know better, son
These souped-up black and whites
..Are hard to ever outrun.”

Put me in the squad car
...And took me to their jail
Gave me some tests
...Which I was bound to fail.

Went before the Justice
...He said, “Thirty days, ole son
We tried to play it fair
...But you had to try and run.”

Now I understand
...What put me in this pickle
Just as soon as I get out
...I’m gonna buy a faster motor-sickle!
