john tiong chunghoo - The Brain—is wider than the Sky—

2014-11-10 1

the brain
how dark it is
so dark
it would need
more than a man
to discover
encode
its whole experience
it hides world's map
universal map
black hole map
when it is finally lightened up
in the right way
all of us would curse
ourselves
'for carrying a heaven's lamp
but lighting it up in the wrong place'.

inspired by

The Brain—is wider than the Sky—
For—put them side by side—
The one the other will contain
With ease—and You—beside—
The Brain is deeper than the sea—
For—hold them—Blue to Blue—
The one the other will absorb—
As Sponges—Buckets—do—
The Brain is just the weight of God—
For—Heft them—Pound for Pound—
And they will differ—if they do—
As Syllable from Sound—
