Candice Renae Williams - A Reason to Sigh

2014-11-10 3

The ride home from works was tiring,
it seemed like all my energy was wasted-
trying to see each little snow flake,
fall,
falling,
-furiously stopped onto my windshield.
When I opened the door I was sighing,
It seemed like every-time I was frustrated-
Seeking the touch of wind against my skin,
fall,
falling,
- snowflakes melted on my fingertip.
The snow reminds me of something...
It seemed to be a memory that didn't want to be recalled-
Jogging through my senses,
fall,
falling,
- Memories lingered on my mind.
Almost to the porch when I felt an urging,
it seemed like this was it, no more, faded-
Looking at the sky,
fall,
falling,
- Beats pounded on my heart.
How can I take the next few steps to the door?
It seemed that this cold beautiful new world outside, wanted-
Longing to stay,
fall,
falling,
-Pain cleaned with the snow.
Entering the house alone,
It seemed that this was not real, hardened-
refusing to dwell,
fall,
falling,
-The door closed with the cold.
