I've always dreamed of having a special shoe place
So that every pair of shoes had their own shoe space
One by the other each pair would sit
Left by right in a perfect fit
There'd be no other place like it
People would come from far and wide
To gawp at these shoes placed side by side
Not thrown one on top of the other
Always looking for its brother
Part of an unsightly, messy clutter
My shoes sometimes leave their wondrous abode
To walk many miles down many roads
But always return to their own special spot
One into which they so easily slot
Their stately home, not some ghastly squat
It's always nice to have a dream
Where everything is nice and clean
Where shoes exist as ordered pairs
In a cupboard which still has room to spare
For brand new ones with a zany flair
