The hug from daughter
Unbidden, unceremonial, undemanded, unexpected
A small thing in her universe
An act of grace received in mine
A gift befitting His highest Holy Day
The manifestation through an Easter evening hug
Of a far more sacrifical and compounding love
That leaves the Easter bunny's eggs in dust.
