You ask: Why Winter?
Winter gives warmth to my verse
And as no other season it gives
Birth
To beauty in its hoar and horrid wonders
In its rattling cold and sundry thunders
Its rain that floods woods and vales
And hamlets trembling small:
O Winter! Winter!
