Aram Stefanian - Pipe dream

She says she doesn't want nada but some joy dust
To relieve a dull haunting ache in her freaked soul.
She cannot catch on why her whole life is a bust,
And how to escape falling headlong into a black hole.
A joy rider kicked by a horse with no hereafter
Is trying to knock the habit of running a railroad
By boozing it, yet suffering from the morning after,
Still wondering what caused her to take the wrong road:
Maybe the guy from high school who gave her wings,
Or an imaginary protagonist of her groovy pipe dream
Who said, ''It won't be over till the fat lady sings.
If you wake up to the fake reality, you will freak and scream.''
