Peter Van Camp - Two Hearts

Two Hearts

It was the beginning of winter
The year two thousand and four
When two friends joined hearts
And pledged their love forever more.

Tradition they did not follow
Which was the case since the start
You see this couple in love
Were three thousand miles apart.

Many months had passed by
And they took time to get to know
All and everything about one another
As their friendship continued to grow.

Like all they had their problems
And a few times did part
But hours, days, weeks later
Their friendship they would restart.

There is no doubt at all
That God played a role
To ensure this loving couple
Together would one day stroll.

Loneliness which we hate the most
For this couple no longer laid ahead
But a lifetime of happiness
And being together laid there instead.

Yes it was the beginning of winter
In the year two thousand and four
When two lonely people
Pledged their love forever more.
