What happens to the Christmas Spirit
when the kids have flown the nest
and long time friends are buried deep below?
There are no peels of laughter
to greet the empty walls,
no happy conversations with anyone.
Just the lonely clock ticking time away.
What has happened to the Christmas Spirit
has it disappeared forever
and left only a lonely life?
