Herbert Nehrlich - Happy Birthday, Abram! Again.

2014-11-08 12

Happy Birthday, Abram! ! ! ! !

This world is in a sorry state,
our birthright so abused.
But one Canadian talks straight
to colleagues, so confused:

'Supply the proper building blocks
for maintenance repairs
instead of hoarding pharma stocks
and cancer-screening shares.'

His vision is a Medicine
designed for glowing health,
officially denounced as sin
by those who transfer wealth.

That birth, so many years ago
attended by two fellows
Linus and Abram (now you know)
who later manned the bellows.

It marked a time in history
when man could sense some hope
that for the human misery
they'd soon dispense with dope.

You see, the common people dropped
from illnesses like flies.
The slaughter needed to be stopped,
for no one heard their cries.

Word soon got out, the term HUMANE
had been preserved and frozen.
Without, the system turned insane,
perverted by the chosen.

A bumpy road, a jarring ride,
its captain at the helm,
its seedlings thriving, far and wide,
at times to overwhelm

incompetence and wanton greed,
restoring Nature's mandate
and recognizing that we need
much more than just a band-aid.

Another birthday, and so soon!
Dear Abram, have no fear.
I've sent to you a pink balloon,
you'll get it late this year.

Note:

This is another birthday greeting to my good friend and mentor.
He is Canada's best, straight from the sticks of Saskatchewan.
