Fuzzy memoirs of the gone pasts
Rigged up sails atop the masts
Skipped and ambled on the ways
Did the schools and the plays
Hung from branches of an elm
Boohooed those that stood at helm
Stole some moments on the sly
Brooked no query nor the why
I so strong brimming young
Earth the moon both too sung
Awe-inspiring among the beaus
Silent innocent comely cues
She so full of life an verve
I so cheeky and the nerve
Hand in hand on snow or sand
Cast no eyes on fleeting land
Pitter patter of the little feet
Lulling softly our heart beat
Ballet of red yellow brown an green
Had a princess turned to queen
Pendulum’s tap a silent tick tock
Deceitful dalliance of wind sock
Stunned the mirror on that day
As the heathen reflected grey
A day then came the bell rang
Waved a curtain to stop the clang
There A young man stood in hurry
Sir here I am to take your worry
The cap he’d tilted to the side
Caught an eye of his gleaming ride
What brings you here o lanky lad
Umm! Sir I suppose you the dad
Slowly she walked to my side
Looked him over with eyes wide
Air was tense an the world swam
Touched his cap an bid her ma’am
I hope you will approve and bless
I’v bought for her a beautiful dress
She pat my shoulder, had me calm
With poise then she said a psalm
An then I grasped the circle of life
Bid them well and Held my wife
